The Office of Digital Learning has waived the requirement for students to complete the Online Orientation Course before registering for any online summer course.
Students must complete the Online Learning Interest Survey and the Summer School Registration Form. Completing the survey and form does not guarantee you will be enrolled in an online summer course. Spots for online courses are limited and priority will be given to upperclassmen. Please visit CCPS Online for more information and requirements for taking online courses.
Staggered Registration Dates
Registration for Online Summer School will begin in May (see chart below for staggered registration dates).
Early registration attempts made by current 9th and 11th graders before the staggered registration dates listed below will NOT be processed. Those who attempt to register before their grade level registration date will need to complete this online form again on the registration date assigned to their grade level during the 2023-24 school year.

Registration
- Students MUST complete the Online Learning Interest Survey prior to registration. The Online Orientation course is optional. Access the Online Learning Interest Survey and optional Online Orientation at CCPS Online.
- Students MUST complete the Summer School Registration Form. Early registration attempts made by 9-11th graders before the staggered registration dates listed below will NOT be processed. Those who attempt to register before their grade level registration date will need to complete this online form again on the registration date assigned to their grade level during the 2023-24 school year.
- Spots in online courses are limited. Registering does not guarantee enrollment. Upperclassmen will be given registration priority for course enrollment.
- Students will need to submit full payment and the Summer School Registration Form to be considered for enrollment.
- If a course fills up, a student can be added to a waitlist by submitting their completed registration form and full payment to hold a spot. If a spot opens, the student will be notified by the Office of Digital Learning. If a spot does not open up, the student will be notified and the payment will be refunded.
- A student will be notified by the Office of Digital Learning once their registration has been processed and they are officially enrolled in an online course.
- Online courses taken for original credit will cost $225 for a half-credit course and $325 for a full-credit course. This included a non-refundable $25 registration fee for each course.
- Payment Options: Pay online using Online School Payments, mail a check to the student’s home school. Checks should be made payable to Calvert County Public Schools. Payments will not be accepted before May 6, 2024.
Attendance Requirements
All classes require a synchronous class meeting utilizing Microsoft Teams on the first day of summer school – June 24, 2024. Tentative dates are listed, but subject to change. Required meetings will be communicated by the course instructor.
